Built on Research, Driven by Curiosity
We started Uptech Rise because we noticed something odd. Most investment advice felt either too technical or embarrassingly vague. There wasn't much middle ground for people who wanted actual depth without needing a finance PhD.
So we built what we wished existed—a place where research meets real conversation, where complex ideas become accessible without losing their substance.
What We're Actually Doing
Our mission isn't wrapped in fancy language. We help people understand investments through solid research and clear teaching. That's it, really.
We dig into market patterns, sector dynamics, and company fundamentals. Then we translate that work into educational content that makes sense. No guarantees about returns, because anyone promising that isn't being straight with you.
Based in Brugge, we serve investors across Belgium and beyond. The European market has its own quirks, and understanding regional factors matters when you're building knowledge that actually transfers to decision-making.
Research First
Every piece of content starts with actual research—reading reports, analyzing data, checking sources. We don't rehash yesterday's headlines or pass along market gossip.
Honest Limitations
Markets are unpredictable. We're clear about what we know, what we think, and what nobody can really predict. That honesty matters more than sounding confident about everything.
Teaching That Sticks
Understanding beats memorization. We build learning programs that help you develop judgment, not just collect facts you'll forget next week.
How We Got Here
Started small, stayed focused, kept learning alongside the people we teach.
The Beginning
Two analysts, one shared frustration about surface-level investment education. Started hosting small workshops in Brugge for local investors who wanted something more substantial than typical seminars offered.
Going Digital
Pandemic pushed us online faster than planned. Turned out remote learning worked better than expected—people asked better questions when they had time to think. Built our first structured program based on what actually resonated.
Research Depth
Expanded our research capabilities. Brought in sector specialists, developed proprietary analysis frameworks. Started producing reports that institutional investors actually referenced, which validated our approach.
Today
Teaching hundreds of students annually through structured programs. Publishing research that influences investment decisions. Still based in Brugge, still focused on substance over hype. Planning autumn 2025 expansion of course offerings.
How We Approach Learning
Most financial education falls into two traps—either dumbed down to the point of uselessness, or so technical that only industry insiders follow along. We aim for the space in between.
Our programs assume you're intelligent and curious, but not necessarily familiar with every finance term. We explain concepts thoroughly, use real examples from actual markets, and encourage questions that challenge assumptions.
Context Over Facts
Anyone can memorize definitions. We focus on helping you understand why things work the way they do, which patterns matter, and when conventional wisdom breaks down.
Real Case Studies
Every lesson includes actual market situations. We analyze what happened, why decisions were made, and what we can learn—including from mistakes and unexpected outcomes.
Ongoing Discussion
Markets change constantly. Our students stay connected through discussion groups where we explore current events and test ideas against new information.
Meet Our Lead Researcher
Behind the research and program design, you'll find people who've spent years in both markets and education. Here's one of them.
Pieter Vandebroeck
Pieter came to us from a mid-sized asset management firm where he spent eight years analyzing European equities. He got tired of writing reports nobody fully understood and wanted to bridge that gap between analysis and education.
These days he leads our research team and designs curriculum that translates technical analysis into learnable frameworks. He's particularly good at explaining why certain metrics matter while others just make charts look impressive.
Interested in Learning With Us?
Our next structured program begins in September 2025. If you're looking for investment education that respects your intelligence and time, we'd be glad to tell you more about what we offer.
